Packing Supply Checklist Guide-the Basics
If you have the basic packing supplies for the move, you can expect a smooth and hassle-free transition. Having sufficient packing supplies can help save time and money in the long run. We have listed down the basic packing supplies to get you started.
Cardboard Boxes - Cardboard boxes are the most important items in moving. They are available in various shapes, styles and sizes. There are also some specialty boxes for large, awkwardly shaped items.
Mailers - In order to save space, use mailers for flat, non-breakable items. Mailers are basically envelopes with fiber padding or lined with bubble wrap. They are usually used for packing documents, certificates and photos.
Cushioning- Bubble wraps, crumpled newspapers and foams may be used as cushioning to protect fragile items. Cushioning must also be used in filling gaps inside boxes to keep items from shifting during the transport.
Packing Tapes - Packing tapes are primarily used in sealing boxes. Aside from that, they can be used to provide extra support to heavy items. In order to prevent contents from spilling out, secure the bases of boxes with a few layers of packing tapes. Clear, sealing tapes are often used but you can also opt to use duct tapes.
